                                            Common Questions About Phone Service

InterLATA or IntraLATA

  1. What is the difference between interlata and intralata calling areas?
    The difference is explained in your telephone book. See the map located there.

Second Phone Line

  1. What will a second line cost me?
    A: The installation fee for a second phone line is currently $23.00 Additional wiring inside your home or business is extra.
  2. What is the monthly charge for a second phone line?
    The basic fee for a second phone line is the same as the basic fee for the first line. Your actual fee will vary according to the number of additional features you want on your second phone line.
  3. Do I need an additional phone line for the Internet?
    No. If you plan to use the Internet extensively, you may wish to purchase a second phone line. You cannot make voice calls and use the Internet simultaneously.

Long Distance

  1. Who do I contact if I have questions about my long distance charges?
    Contact the customer service number printed on your long distance bill.
  2. How can I can I find out what different companies currently charge for long distance services?
    We can give you the customer service number for the long distance carriers available to your calling area. You can then call them and investigate current prices.
  3. How do I change long distance carriers?
    Set up your long distance with the carrier of choice. If you are protected from slamming (a carrier changing your long distance service without your authorization) you will have to contact us as well to make sure your billing is adjusted properly.
