A Cancellation Fee up to $175 applies for early termination of contract. The amount of the termination fee is based on the number of months remaining on the contract. No termination fee will apply if the service plan is cancelled within 14 calendar days of wireless service activation. You will be charged for the days of use and any airtime minutes used during the 14 days. Any monies owed to you will be refunded by check within 10 business days of the following month’s bill run.
Rate Plan: The monthly rate plans are subject to taxes and mandated surcharges which will be billed on your monthly statement. Your minutes and charges are prorated if you change service plans.
Your prorated minutes from today to the end of the billing cycle for your month of activation. To determine prorated minutes, divide your package minutes by 31 and multiply by the number of days remaining in the current billing cycle. (Peak Hours are 6am to 7 pm, M-F; Night hours are 7pm to 6am, M-Th; Weekend hours are 7pm Friday through 6am Monday. Holidays are not free.)
Mobile-to-Mobile: Mobile-to-Mobile minutes are good for Red River Telephone wireless to Red River Telephone wireless calls only. This service is included in the shared plans and is an option for the single plans.
Customers are responsible for all Minute and/or SMS (text messaging) overages. Red River Telephone will not waive any charges incurred by customer. You may check minute usage at www.rrt.net or http://199.103.219.55/enduser. However, this is only an estimate of the minutes used and may not include usage within the previous 48 to 72 hours. Standard SMS (text messaging) is $.15 per message, unless you subscribe to a SMS Package. If subscribed to a SMS Package, SMS overages will be charged at $0.15 per message. SMS Package changes are subject to proration based upon usage and date of change. Text messaging is charged both for sending & receiving. Red River Telephone will not waive any charges incurred by customer.
Premium SMS (premium text messaging) is not included in any SMS Package and will be charged a rate of at least $0.15 - $19.99 (possibly higher) based upon the service. These charges could be a one-time and/or a monthly service fee from the provider. Premium SMS via the Internet for services such as Ring Tones, Ring Back Tones, Games, Voting on Television Shows, Jokes, Horoscopes, etc. will be the responsibility of the customer. Downloading of Ring Tones, Ring Back Tones, Games, etc. will also be charged at the Premium SMS rates. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to unsubscribe to any service that is charging Premium SMS. Text messaging is charged both for sending and receiving unless the customer subscribes to an unlimited text package. Red River Telephone will not waive any charges incurred by customer. Some of these services may not be available at this time.
Deposits are returned to the account holder with interest after 12 continuous months without delinquent notices, returned or dishonored payments, or non-pay disconnections.
New wireless phones have a 1-year Manufacturer’s Warranty, which begins from the original date of activation. A used phone may have a shorter warranty. Also refer to the owner's manual. Damage due to water or other abuse is not covered under warranty. The "Stay Connected" handset replacement service is available to cover accidental damage, loss or theft of your phone. Ask for more information.
The billing cycle starts on the 17th and ends on the 16th of the month. Wireless bills are sent around the 4th of each month and a due upon receipt. Payments are accepted at the business office at 510 Broadway in Abercrombie, ND, by mail, by automatic bank pay, and by e-bill, an on-line payment option available at www.rrt.net. Please make checks payable to Red River Telephone. A $15 fee applies to any returned or dishonored payment.
You agree to not use or permit use of your wireless phone for any purpose that's illegal. Service may be temporarily suspended or limited due to suspected fraud, incurring usage charges larger than preset levels, or for any other good cause.
Service may be suspended, pending disconnection, if the payment is not received by the last day of the billing month. Customers that break any payment arrangements will be immediately suspended and/or terminated as appropriate. A $24.50 fee will be applied and collected at the time service is restored. A deposit may be required. A Cancellation Fee up to $175 will apply if Red River Telephone terminates a customer’s wireless service for non-payment/negligent payment prior to the end of a term agreement. All monies owed to Red River Telephone will be due immediately.
Voice Mail (minute usage applies), Caller ID, Call Waiting, Call Forwarding, and Three Way Calling are free services included in your wireless rate plan. Directory Assistance calls are billed at $1.50 per call. (Minute usage also applies.) Roaming Rates are $0.59/minute. Roaming Toll Rate is a pass through charge, which will vary by roaming carrier. All calling plans include free long distance on the Red River Telephone wireless network. Taxes are not included in the above rates. All plans include domestic toll originating and terminating within the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. Red River Telephone will not waive any charges incurred by customer.
The following changes may incur a $10 fee (per change) for:
- A rate plan change. Any change to the monthly rate plan other than a new activation may incur a fee (per change). The original contract length will not be altered by a plan change. Rate plan changes will create proration of the wireless minute usage and possibly overage charges based upon customer usage.
- An ESN (phone equipment) change when requested by customer. Customer will also be charged cost of phone equipment when applicable.
- A wireless phone number change when requested by customer. This change will create proration of the wireless minute and/or text usage and possibly overage charges based upon customer usage.
- Resetting Voice Mail. Directions are given to you regarding setting up your Voice Mail. You will need to set your Voice Mail up as soon as possible.
